I read The Coat. "It was't just an old coat," he shouted. "The pockets were full of treasure!"

Mark knew he shouldn't be listening under the window at old Mr Crowe's house. "What old coat?" asked a woman. Mr Crowe said the grey one, with all the pockets. Then Mark heard the woman speak again. "That old thing! I put it out for the garbage truck this morning." Mark thought that the woman must be Mr Crowe's daughter. Mr Crowe shouted "it wasn't just an old coat. The pockets were full of treasure." Mark had followed the garbage truck before. He could feel the sweat running down his back as he cycled up Hill Road. Mark wondered what could be in the pockets. At last Mark reached the top of the hill. He found the Crowe's bag and there was the coat at the top of the bag. Mark pulled it out and picked up his bike. At home, Mark spread out the coat and emptied the pockets. There was an old fob watch, a faded photo of a young woman, a locket, bottle tops and a shark's tooth. Mark thought that where was the treasure. Mark looked up when his mother came into the room. She asked what's all this. Mark said that just some old stuff he found at the dump. His mother said that it looks like someone's treasure. The next morning, Mark found Mr Crowe in his garden. Mark said that he found your coat. The old man looked surprised as he took his coat from Mark. Mr Crowe said that you've made an old man very hsppy. Mark smiled.
I was teach important things by this story. It is important things that momories are treasure than expensive stuff. I like this book. I recomend this book to you.

1. Introduction

I like foods. I often look books of foods. In the books, there were a lot of foods which looks delicious. In especially I like another country’s foods because the foods look more delicious than Japanese one. I am very interested in American foods. In my image, I thought American diet is very big. So I expected that American breakfast is big, too. I expected that an American people eat a lot of foods in the morning. However, I do not know whether it is true. So I decided to survey American breakfast. Also I survey typical Japanese breakfast, too. My host family member is Darren (father), Jessica (mother), Owen (5 years old), Ben (4 years old) and Noah (2 years old). Darren is an owner of printing company. Jessica is a doctor. And they have 3 little boys. So they are very busy every day. And then, I am going to compare between American breakfast and Japanese one.

2.1. Japanese Breakfast Style

It is said that eating properly in the morning is good for people. So people try to eat properly. Japanese people think that eating breakfast is important. On TV, it is often broadcasted that eating breakfast is good for our brain. If we do not eat breakfast, we cannot work well. In effect, researcher studied and they proved about that. So I think that the most of Japanese people try to eat breakfast. I also eat breakfast every morning. Moreover, it is said that eating rice is very good. Rice is essential for Japanese people. However, some people do not eat properly. The people do not feel to want to eat breakfast or oversleeping. The things caused to stay without breakfast. Especially, young people do not eat breakfast. Because of recent young people have a lot of homework or go to school. So they do not enough time to sleep. So it is said that they are oversleeping or do not feel want to eat breakfast in the morning.

2.2. Japanese Breakfast menu

I usually eat rice and miso soup and I drink green tea as a breakfast. When I oversleep and I do not have enough time to eat breakfast, I eat bread with sugar and I drink tea. In general, we eat rice and miso soup as a breakfast. Depend on people but some people eat bread, cereal, eggs, fish or natto with rice. In case of not bread, we generally eat something with rice, whether or not.

2.3. Japanese Outside Breakfast

Recently, it is said that “Sotoasa-zoku” is increase. “Sotoasa-zoku” is people who go out for breakfast. “soto” means outside. “asa” means morning. In especially, most of the people are older because if they make breakfast, the foods are rested. It is thought that it is better economically. Also the wives do not want to make breakfast. They want Holiday. So they tend to go out for breakfast. And then, the restaurant is changing for the breakfast today. For example, one restaurant is turning sushi restaurant. The restaurant services breakfast which can be serviced only from 7:00 to 9:30. After you take a seat, the waiter or waitress brings rice, miso soup and nori. And then, there are broiled fish, sunny-side up egg, natto, food boiled, seasoned and cold tofu. These foods turn around the counter. However, I think that Japanese people who go out for breakfast are few. I like to eat breakfast at my house with relaxing. My family also likes to that. I don’t know whether it is usual for Japanese people about it. However, I think that “Sotoasa-zoku” is just increase but they are few yet.

3.1. American Breakfast style

Many American people go to work or school without breakfast because they have eaten lunch in early time (about 11a.m.) and they have a habit which eat snack in the afternoon since they were children. So they can stand to stay without breakfast.

3.2. American Breakfast menu

When I went to Minnesota, my host father asked to me “Which do you want to eat, cereal, eggs or toast in morning?” I do not like cereal with milk. Also I thought that eating eggs does not feel full. So I ate toast with raspberry jam and orange juice as breakfast in most of morning. In the first morning, when I got up and I went to kitchen, my host father was eating cereal. And then, he taught me how to make a toast with oven. So I eat breakfast with him. However, the next morning, he was not in kitchen. So I made a toast and I ate it alone. I have never seen that my host mother eats breakfast. My host father sometimes eats breakfast in his office. When I was overslept, he gave me a stick which likes a Japanese “calorie mate”. In holiday, my host father made scrambled eggs with onions, bacons and cheese for me. Sometimes he took me to Mcdonald’s and we ate eggmac muffin and coffee there. In general, American people eat cereal, toast, bagel, waffle or egg.

3.3. American Outing Breakfast

I wrote about an American holiday’s Breakfast a little bit before but I am going to add about it. In general, American people go out for eating as brunch in the morning. It is said that if you go to a restaurant at about 10a.m., it is full and fill with life. The standard menu of the breakfast is dish of eggs. For example, the Scrambled egg, Sunny-Side Up, Over-Easy, or Boiled Egg with Hashed-Brawn, Bacon or Sausage with coffee. Also it is not only a restaurant but coffee shop (Starbucks) or fast food shop (Mcdonald’s) also crowd. In general, American people don’t eat breakfast at their house. They go out for breakfast.

4. Conclusion

In fact, I found that American outing breakfast is big but American breakfast at house is very light. Also I found that Japanese people and American people’s opinions about breakfast are different. Also Japanese breakfast and American one are different. However, I also found that Japanese breakfast and its style are changing like an American. Also there are same point between American breakfast and Japanese one. Some people don’t eat breakfast among America and Japanese. The reason is they have no time. However, I thought that one reason is different by staying with my host family. American people often eat ice, pie, popcorn or something before they go to bed. So they do not feel hungry and do not eat breakfast

Do you know Tsuneyashu Miyamoto? He is a soccer player. He is very famous soccer player. My first name is Haruna. Haru means spring. Na means rape blossoms. My birthday is not spring. My birthday is fall. However, my parents named me Haruna. Spring is warm. So they wanted me to be kind person. So my name is Haruna. Also I checked famous Haruna person. There are Haruna Kondo and Haruna-Ai. They are like a funny talent. They are very funny. Also I found Haruna Kojima. She is an idol. She is a member of AKB48. She is very cute. Also I found that Gunma prefecture’s famous pork brand name is Haruna Pork. This is very delicious. I work at Italian restaurant. About one month ago, there are Haruna Pork’s pizza and pasta. I was really happy and I bought it. However, I have not read it yet. Now, I really want to read the book. However, I have a lot of things to do. And I have to study for exams. My Project 6

I am going to introduce Finland in summer. It's very hot but it's not humid. So Finland's summer is easy to spend. There is a night under the midnight sun in the season. So you can enjoy the summer in not dawn all day. There are a lot of things. For example, hiking in the verdure's forest, cruise in lake and outdoor festival.

Before I talked about a night under the midnight sun a little bit. However, I will talk about it more. A night under the midnight sun is a night that light of sun light up. In the night, the sun doesn't set. It's thought that situation what people walk in town is daytime. The phenomenon is only happened in the Arctic and the Antarctic from spring to summer. In Finland, the phenomenon is happened, too. However, Lapland is outstanding. In Lapland of spring, the night under the midnight sun, there is light that you can enjoy ski even if it is midnight. In the Finland, you can experience the night under the midnight sun.

There is the second biggest festival, the summer solstice festival. People celebrate the coming of summer and wish the peace. They gather to a big square and they dance with fun. There are a lot of events and stalls there. White, blue and red of the folk costume is sightseeing.

I have a lot of favorite candies. However, I am going to talk about one favorite candy. The candy's name is Sour Patch!! Do you know? When I stayed in MN, my host mother bought the one for me. My host parents have 3 little boys. The parents put Sour Patch into their socks. And the morning, the youngest boy saw the candy and he said "it's Haruna's!!" I think that the event should to be fashionable more! Also Christmas is famous event all over the world. In USA, Canada and UK, the habit that people send a Christmnas card each other is very usual. However, In Japan, It is not usual. So I think that the habit is very good and we should send a Christmas card, too.

I read Stories of Snowmen. The book is written 3 stories of Snowmen. The first story is about Chilly and the bonfire. Chilly is a snowman. This was made by Jack. One day, Jack's neighbor, Mr. Oats was putting up a sign "Grand Christmas Party". In the party, you can enjoy music, Dancing, Games, Hot chocolate, Toasted Marshmallows, Blazing Bonfire and buy your tickets at the farm shop. Jack loves Toasted Marshmallows. He wanted to take part in the party. So He asked Mr. Oats "Can I come to your party, please?" Mr. Oats replied "Of course, Jack. I'll let you in for free if you help me build the bonfire." So Jack decided to help Mr. Oats. In no time, they had a huge bonfire. However, the next morning, it had vanished. New footprints led from Jack's house to where the bonfire had been. So Mr. Oats thought that Jack did it. However, Jack didn't do it actually. Jack was banned from the party. Mr. Oats built a new bonfire and stomped home. That night, Jack couldn't get to sleep. Just then, he heard the clattering of wood outside. Jack raced out of the house. Jack couldn't believe his eyes. Chilly the snowman was taking down the bonfire. Yes, Chilly took the bonfire. It was so close, Chilly would have melted. Also a snowman must return to where he was built after he came alive. So Chilly did that. So Jack and his icy new friend carried the logs to the middle of the field. The pair spent all night building the new bonfire. Chilly returned to his place just before Mr. Oats arrived. Mr. Oats was so impressed because the bonfire was very nice. After I read this story, I felt that it is exactly! The snowman is clever. I thought that Jack and Chilly are good partners. Also I felt hungry because I love toasted marshmallows, too! Oh, I want to eat ones now!! However, I don't have Marshmallows in my house now. I should buy many marshmallows today. Also there are other 2 stories of snowman. The one is about Snowy and Icy. The other one is about Freezy's new buttons. These stories are very fun. However, I had a lot of feelings about that. So I finished the feelings.

There might even be fossils here." Jordan looked at his new shoes. They were covered in sand and dirt. Jordan grabbed a handful of dirt and let it sift through his hand. The dirt landed right on his new shoes. Kaitlyn and Jordan walked back to the trail. They passed a group of hikers. A ranger explained, "Millions of years ago, there was lots of life up here. We have found fossils up here of large and small dinosaurs." Jordan and Kaitlyn stepped closer to listen. The ranger said, "Not all fossibls are of animals. There are sea shell and plant fossils up here." Then, Jordan and Kaitlyn ran to catch up with their families. They came back home. Jordan took off his shoes and shook the dirt out of both of them into the paper cup. He thought it's not just dirt. He is going to put it under his microscope at home. There are things in it he can't see right now.
This book is easy to read. I thought I want to go there and I want to find fossils. I like to explore. When I read this book, I was excited by the story. I recommend this book to you.

I went to Minnesota, USA with some KGU students and teacher in this summer vacation. I spent a time with my host family. I studied American culture and English. I studied them through American people.

My Project 3

I am going to introduce about Santa Claus Village. Santa lives there. If you go to the entrance of the village, you can get a certification which is proved that you went to the Arctic Circle. There are the office of Santa Claus, the post office, the factory shop, the restaurant and the shopping arcade. Santa stay in the office. He gets about a lot around the world. So it is said that he can speak Japanese! Also you can take picture with him. In the post office, the fairy of forest, Tonttu work there. By the way, if you post your letter to the post of the office, the letter is canceled the original stamp of the village. In the factory shop, there are a lot of goods of Finland, Marimekko and Iittala. You might buy the goods in good price. The restaurant is located in the Santa Village. They have the course, pasta, light meal and so on. In the shopping arcade, there are a lot of goods of Christmas, the fur of reindeer and the souvenirs for Lapland. In the Santa Claus Village, you can have a wonderful time there.

Yesterday, I bumped a car against the garage before I went to work. So the car rubbed against it. It was first time for me to damage the car. Also it was first time for the car to be damaged. So I was scolded by my mother, father and older brother. The car was my brother's one. At that time, I had to go to work rapidly. So I ran away from the occasion. However, I felt bad while I worked. Of course, I was scolded again when I went to home.

My favorite dessaert is Zindaiko. This is famous in Kumamoto. In general, the dessert is sold in OKASHINO-KOUBAI. The dessert is made from azuki(beans), youkan(japanese cake) and mochi(rice cake). This is very delicious. In the shop, Musyagaeshi(it looks like a pie) is very popular. However, I love Zindaiko the most. Also I like Ikinari-dango. The dessert is Kumamoto's dessert, too. It is made from Anko(it is made of beans), sweet potato and mocni(rice cake). The dessert is very delicious. I think that the Kumamoto's desserts are very delicious. I love Kumamoto's desserts and I love Japanese dessert. Now, I want to eat Zenzai. The dessert is Japanese dessert, too. I also like the dessert.

My favorite drink is teas. The teas have a lot of kind. For example, apple tea, straight one, lemon one, maple one, milk one and so on. In especially, I like apple one and maple one. My parents had lived there since they married. So the town is my precious memorial place. I love the town. I sometimes go to the town and I walk around the town. My favorite vacation memory is of course summer vacation of 2nd year student! I went to Minnesota in this summer for 1 month. I stayed in my nice host family's house. I spent the most of time with my host family. They took me to a lot of places. I had a lot of wonderful time with them. I had a time to use English there. It was very good. My favorite clubs are Brass band and tea ceremony club. When I was high school student, I belonged to the clubs. I played the String base in the Brass band club. My favorite sport to watch is soccer and volleyball game because my older brother used to play soccer since he was child. So I often go to watch the soccer games. I liked it. So I like to play volleyball and I like to watch it. To put it the other way around, maybe I don't know the rules of the other sports. I don't know the rules of baseball and basketball and so on. I know the rules of soccer and volleyball so I like to watch them, I think.

My favorite car is moco or lapan. Now, I don't have a car. However, I sometimes use my mother's car (tanto) or my older brother's one (move) to go to my job's place. My father also has a car (craun). However, I really want that cute cloth now. I hope that there is that cloth in the shop yet. Maybe I will go to the shop and I will look the cloth again. However, I think that I don't buy it again. If I buy it, maybe I feel bad. So I can't buy something which I want to buy.

My Project 2

I am going to introduce Finland in winter. The winter starts with snow and ice. The curtain of aurora wavers above the land which is covered with white snow. There are the light of sun of Karmos which is lighten from the horizontal line, the silver moonlight which reflect in the snow, the winter sports (it's like a ski) and Christmas festival. In Finland's winter, there are a lot of things.
In the time, it happen Karmos there. Karmos is a day that sun doesn't rise. It's happened when it is the winter solstice or thereabout. The sun is located on the horizon so it is necessarily dark all day. If you go there, you can enjoy experiencing the beautiful and the blue darkness. Also Christmas is the biggest event in Finland. The twinkle illumination light the city. There is Christmas market that you can find nice gift for your important person. Also Christmas parade is held. Santa takes part in the parade.

My brother's friend

The day before yesterday, my brother's friend came to my home to stay. They have known each other for 4 years. They are University friends. The friend is from Hyogo. He is 23 years old. He majors in medical science. However, he is interested in English and he is good at English. Also he has high TOEIC score. The score is his first time to take the TOEIC test. When I heard about this, I was very surprised! Yesterday, he asked to me "Please teach English to me. What kind of books do you use in your University?" I was bother because he is very good at English! I thought that I have to study English harder!

Happy Thing

I sent email to my host family this morning. And the reply was sent to me soon. In the mail, happy and funny thing was written. My host parents have 3 little boys but the youngest one called his mom "Haruna" just yesterday. After that he said "Oh you're not Haruna. You're mummy!!" He is only 2 years old but he still remember about me!! I was so happy to hear it. Also the other boys talked of me. I was really happy. I want to fly to their house right away! However, it is not easy. I noticed the mail in the train so I didn't finish reading the mail. So I want to read the rest messages right now!!!!

There was a Sola's house. Sola who is from Hawaii is very kind and can speak 5 languages, English, Italian, French and Korean. Sola ran a global apartment and people from different country have lived there. They were good at cooking so they decided to open a bakery called "Do Re Mi Fa Sola Pan".
